Wellington Town Hall piling
We’ve almost completed the first stage of piling both inside and out at Wellington Town Hall. But how do you install 15-metre-long piles inside a heritage building when you can barely squeeze the machinery through the door?
Turns out it takes plenty of planning, a bit of BIM, judicious use of a Hilti Total Station, and a lot of collaboration with a great team – a big shout-out to Lattey Group, Wellington City Council, Tonkin + Taylor, Holmes Group, Hilti New Zealand and Heritage New Zealand!
