Wakatipu Reforestation Trust
In another great initiative by one of our staff-led regional Sustainability Committees, some of our Central Otago team spent an afternoon volunteering with the Wakatipu Reforestation Trust.
“Shouting out a massive thank you to Hayley, Lachy, Warren & James from Naylor Love Queenstown for volunteering at our Feehly Hill keystone site this afternoon. This epic crew spent 3½ hours in the hot sun doing a huge clean up of weeds growing among the natives.
As part of Naylor Love’s corporate social responsibility program, they have committed to 4 maintenance sessions per year at our Feehly Hill site. Today was the first and we are thrilled by how much work has been achieved! Maintenance is not glamorous – it’s hot and sweaty – but it’s critical to plant survival until they are big enough to outgrow invasive weeds.”
