PVC pipe recycling
Our PVC pipe recycling initiative is spreading!
Originally only available in Auckland, we’ve now installed recycling bags at both our He Toki Kai Te Rika (Otago Polytechnic Trades Training Centre) project in Dunedin and our AgResearch headquarters & research centre project in Lincoln.
Waste Management New Zealand collects the bags of PVC pipe offcuts and returns them to Marley, where they’re reused to make new pipes.
Great teamwork from Waste Management, Marley and Naylor Love to keep plastic out of landfill!
The PVC recycling program run by Naylor Love, Waste Management New Zealand and Marley is proving a real success. So far over a tonne of PVC has been diverted from landfill already this year. With the concept now proven, the three organisations are now working together to roll it out to other Naylor Love sites in regional centres around the country.

We are very pleased to be able to support Naylor Love’s recycling efforts. All the PVC offcuts we collect can be remanufactured right here in Aotearoa New Zealand into new PVC pipes through our partnership with Marley. This is the circular economy in action and the direction environmentally responsible businesses are choosing to move towards.
