Silky Otter Cinemas Richmond

We built a boutique Silky Otter Cinemas complex at the Berryfields Crossing development in Richmond, with the exterior design linking into the surrounding facility. Our Gibbons Naylor team was involved from the earliest planning stages of the project, contributing budgeting and programming expertise to ensure that the client could achieve their vision.

The entire project team developed strong relationships as we navigated the difficulties of Covid-related supply chain issues. We developed a programme to accommodate an overlap between the base build and fitout to meet the advertised opening date.

The structure was designed with longevity in mind. The facade is a durable, low maintenance concrete and steel construction, architecturally enhanced with timber and aluminium façade screens. The façade and lighting pay homage to the berry crates that dominated the landscape in the past.

The anchor tenancy for the new development and a highly anticipated amenity for the community, Silky Otter Cinemas Richmond opened right on time in early July 2022.
