A light, bright, fast track fitout designed to enhance staff and client security.
Our Auckland Interiors team delivered this fast track fit-out and strengthening project at the Ministry of Social Development’s Ōtara office in only 10 weeks.
Stage one of the project involved a complete strip-out of the existing ceilings, walls linings and floor finishes in the publicly accessible part of the office. We removed large sections of the interior walls, cutting large openings to allow daylight to pour into the meeting rooms. We also built new accessible toilets and private meeting pods, then fitted out the entire 800m² area in six weeks.
The second stage included 700m² of meetings rooms, training facilities, staff break areas and kitchens, plus a seismic upgrade of the building installed behind existing wall linings and shear walls. This was completed in four weeks once staff had moved back into the first stage.
This light, bright fitout is the first MSD office in New Zealand to be upgraded to a new warm, welcoming and safer design.
