Frankton Library fitout, Queenstown

Our Central Otago team returned to Remarkables House, which we built in 2017, to complete a fitout of the Frankton Library for APL Property Group on behalf of Queenstown Lakes District Council.

We installed new suspended grid, gib ceilings and flooring throughout, and electrical, mechanical and fire services including sprinklers and sounders. Other works included forming new partition walls then fitting out a public meeting room, staff room and public toilets.

We also installed data points and computers supplied by the QLDC, as well as a high-spec access entry system and state-of-the-art barcode readers to scan in books automatically.

We completed the fast track, eight-week project on time and on budget, ready for all the books to be shelved and the library to open in December.
