Thank you to Naylor Love for being an outstanding partner on this project. Braemar Hospital has more exciting plans in the pipeline, so it’s not goodbye, but au revoir for now!

Careful monitoring and meticulous planning in a busy hospital.
We completed fitout of the Nikau Wing at Hamilton’s Braemar Hospital, an 18-bed ward with two deluxe, six single and five shared rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. The ward includes a nurses’ station, utility rooms, handover room, whaanau room and staff tearoom with two landscaped garden areas. We also built an external fire egress, with the stairs obscured from view by an aluminium louvre screen system.
We were working adjacent to a live hospital ward, eventually bringing the old and new wards together seamlessly. We carefully monitored noise and vibration, completing disruptive works and services connections at the weekend when the hospital was largely empty. We planned meticulously and organised our subcontractors well ahead of time to make the most of the hospital’s Christmas shutdown, completing sanitary work in the ceiling voids above the operating theatres.
We maintained excellent relationships with the hospital management and their project managers RDT Pacific throughout the year-long project, focusing on a collaborative approach to get the best result for the client and for patient care.
