Ngāti Toa tour
Tēnā koutou to the team from Ūpane for sharing some of the tikanga of Ngāti Toa with us recently.
It was a privilege to visit several sites within the iwi’s rohe, including the Takapūwāhia Marae, Whitireia, and Taupō Pā.
This was especially cool for our team based at Mana College in Takapūwahahia, who had the opportunity to learn about the local history of Ngāti Toa’s journey south to settle in Porirua and the significance of the whenua to the community.
