NAWIC Dunedin launch
We were delighted to host the National Association of Women in Construction’s introductory event at our Dunedin office last week.
After seeing the success of NAWIC’s Waikato opening, the pressure was on to create an equally inviting event to entice the local women to join us.
After a few drinks and an opportunity to mingle with their fellow constituents, our General Manager – People & Culture Pam McGarry shared the history of NAWIC and their vision and purpose of creating a network of support and opportunities for personal development and what we’re hoping to achieve by establishing a branch in Dunedin.
Rebecca Williams, one of our Quantity Surveyors and the Chair of the new Dunedin NAWIC chapter, followed on by sharing her journey into the construction industry, firstly in finance and then taking the leap of faith into Quantity Surveying seven years ago.
It was a great opportunity to get some of the southern-most women in construction together, and we look forward to more events in the months to come!
