MATES Accreditations
Four of our sites around the motu have received their MATES Accreditations this year!
We’re proud to see our Wellington City Mission, Southern Cross Wellington, Wainuiomata High School and Burnside High School sites receive their MATES Accreditations. For a site to gain Accredited status, all workers (including subcontractors) need to have had General Awareness Training (GAT), plus they need at least one CONNECTOR for every twenty workers and access to an ASIST trained resource.
MATES training equips our teams with tools to support each other through the tough times, skills that they can use to improve mental health and prevent suicide in the workplace and beyond.
