Futures, Employment Pathway update
Our first cohort of Futures, Employment Pathway students is steaming ahead!
We got together to celebrate their achievements, including their graduation from Resource Sorter training. The Resource Sorter – Construction course, developed by Naylor Love and facilitated by Sime Group, gives the students valuable waste minimisation skills that they can apply on a construction site, at home or in the community.
Two of the students have already secured apprenticeships and it looks like we’ll be able to confirm another apprenticeship soon. Two students are still looking for apprenticeships while getting great work experience with The Labour Exchange.
We’re delighted to see the success of this trial, a partnership between Naylor Love, Ara Education Charitable Trust, Sime Group, The Labour Exchange, the Ministry of Social Development and Auckland Council. We look forward to building on this momentum and continuing to support our rangatahi on their journey toward successful careers.
