Dolomite Point Experience Centre
We’re well under way with the foundations for a new visitor Experience Centre at Dolomite Point in Punakaiki on the West Coast of the South Island. Working in this beautiful, remote location has given us the chance to get up close to some of the locals!
Going beyond recycling: Habitat for Humanity
Our Waikato/BoP team are going beyond recycling at a major hotel refurbishment project, donating some of the old fixtures and fittings to Habitat for Humanity.

We’ve enlisted Powerpac Signs to help take our waste signage to the next level, with recyclable signage and replaceable stickers.
Mahana Glovers Road opening
We’ve just celebrated the opening of 6 more Mahana social houses, designed and built for Ōtautahi Community Housing Trust (ŌCHT) in Christchurch.
PVC pipe recycling spreads
Our PVC pipe recycling initiative is spreading, with recycling bags installed in Dunedin and Christchurch.
Tauhara concrete crushing
With a growing pile of waste concrete coming in from multiple sources at Tauhara geothermal power station, we looked for a sustainable option to process and re-use it.
Soft plastics collection trial
We’ve been working with our waste partner Green Gorilla in a trial to collect the soft plastics from three of our Auckland sites and deliver it to saveBOARD, who use it to manufacture their innovative board products.
Branded clothing recycling
We’re diverting end-of-life branded clothing and PPE from landfill by sending it to Upparel, where it is washed, shredded and turned into a felt-like material that can be used in homewares, furniture and construction.

Our Environmental Manager Annie Day met with William Grant and Ben Rowan from Hilti New Zealand to discuss the benefits of buying in bulk. Good sports that they are, William and Ben joined Annie to launch our #wasteshakedown, where we’ll share some of the ideas we’re exploring with our clients, subcontractors and supply chain to build more sustainably.
