Amotai Meet the Buyer Event
Our Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland team enjoyed meeting a great bunch of people from Māori and Pasifika-owned businesses at an Amotai Meet the Buyer event last week.
Soft plastics collection trial
We’ve been working with our waste partner Green Gorilla in a trial to collect the soft plastics from three of our Auckland sites and deliver it to saveBOARD, who use it to manufacture their innovative board products.
Branded clothing recycling
We’re diverting end-of-life branded clothing and PPE from landfill by sending it to Upparel, where it is washed, shredded and turned into a felt-like material that can be used in homewares, furniture and construction.

Our Environmental Manager Annie Day met with William Grant and Ben Rowan from Hilti New Zealand to discuss the benefits of buying in bulk. Good sports that they are, William and Ben joined Annie to launch our #wasteshakedown, where we’ll share some of the ideas we’re exploring with our clients, subcontractors and supply chain to build more sustainably.

Wellington Regional Hospital Urology and Renal
Alongside the copper pipe replacement project, we’re also refurbishing over 1200 square metres to deliver brand new Urology and Renal departments at Wellington Regional Hospital, using some of the latest construction technology to ensure that the job runs smoothly.
Wellington Regional Hospital Copper Pipe Replacement
We’re working behind the scenes at Wellington Regional Hospital to replace and upgrade the entire water reticulation system. By using the latest technology, we’re completing a very invasive procedure as painlessly as possible!
Native tree planting initiative
One of the initiatives facilitated by our staff-led Sustainability Committees is offering to plant a native tree at the end of a project.
