Sustainability at CAB Apartments
We’ve completed the hard demolition at the Civic Administration Building in Auckland!
This involved the painstaking removal of 19 suspended concrete floors and curtain walling over two years. Great teamwork from Naylor Love, our client Civic Lane Ltd, Beca, Jasmax and Green Way Ltd saw 97.83% of the 2,130 tonnes of demolition material diverted from landfill, an exceptional result that the team are very proud of.
Reuse of the original steel structure and precast panelling has significantly reduced the embodied energy in the redevelopment, overall a great result for the environment.
