Building Carbon Calculator update

We developed the calculator a couple of years ago as a simple tool to compare the upfront carbon emissions of structural building materials in the New Zealand construction market.

It’s a brilliant way to show the carbon benefits of various building products to clients who are interested in sustainability. We’ve been delighted by the uptake of the calculator in the wider construction whānau.

Our 2025 update includes updated carbon emissions data from the latest EPD’s available, as well as updated transport emissions values based on guidance out of the Ministry for the Environment.
