Branded clothing recycling with Upparel
Branded clothing and PPE keeps our staff looking smart and safe, but it gets a tough life on construction sites.
We’re diverting end-of-life branded clothing from landfill by sending it to Upparel, where it is washed, shredded and turned into a felt-like material that can be used in homewares, furniture and construction.
Upparel are just getting started in New Zealand, but they aim to recycle or reuse the eyewatering 175 tonnes of textile waste that gets send to landfill every year. We’re proud to have them as partners in our #wasteshakedown!
