Battery collection
One of our Auckland Sustainability Committee’s long-running initiatives is to provide battery collection buckets.
We have the buckets in both on our sites and in our office. This ensures that batteries can be safely disposed of and even recycled rather than ending up in landfill.
Our first year of battery collecting netted 12 kilograms of spent batteries, followed by 12kg in the second year, and a whopping 20.1kg last year.
