Collaborative approach with both the landlord and tenants resulted in a successful project.
We completed the fitout of Flame Bar & Grill’s new Steamer Wharf restaurant in collaboration with two clients: the landlord, Coronet Property Management and the tenants, Flame Bar & Grill.
Works initially consisted of a separate demolition contract, which we undertook while the fitout design was being completed. As the project got under way, we fully refurbished of the building façade, including installing bespoke steel windows and doors, lighting and signage, and re-painting. We carefully negotiated the extensive scaffolding required in the busy tourist location with the adjacent tenants, local council and nearby building owners.
Inside the first-floor location, we installed a high-spec stainless steel kitchen which houses dedicated food preparation areas, numerous ovens, extractor hoods and a mechanical ventilation and extractor system capable of dealing with hundreds of guests every day. Other works included forming internal walls, new toilets and guest facilities, self-levelling the existing floor following demolition, and laying new vinyl flooring throughout. We installed feature timber cladding, plus custom timber and steel joinery units, new doors, gib and suspended grid ceilings.
The space is completely transformed from its former use as corporate offices into a bright, modern restaurant with bespoke interiors and a feature open-plan kitchen.
