Secure and streamlined court entrance, carefully sequenced to minimise disruption.
Our Wellington Projects & Interiors team completed a new main entrance at Hutt Valley District Court, improving security and streamlining the entry process by consolidating several entrances into one and installing a new X-ray machine, screening area and controlled exit.
Extending the building footprint and services to incorporate the new entrance involved meticulously matching the cladding, integrating new fire walls, and installing a new AHU with ducting and dampers.
The final stage of the project was to upgrade the staff facilities, including the kitchen, security room and bathrooms.
We carefully staged and sequenced the work during the 17-month project to minimise disruption and allow the busy court to keep operating throughout, always ensuring the route for foot traffic was clearly marked and safely managed.
