Resource Sorter graduation
Congratulations to the graduates of the first Resource Sorter – Construction course!
These waste reduction superheroes from Naylor Love, Watts & Hughes and The Labour Exchange are now ready to take their knowledge to construction sites all over Tāmaki Makaurau and help work towards Auckland Council’s goal of zero waste going to landfill by 2040.
The Resource Sorter – Construction course gives workers the tools they need to reduce construction waste to landfill by diverting it to be reused/recycled and talks about our actions to avoid waste altogether. Graduates also earn 5 credits at Level 2 on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF). We have brought in an independent facilitator, Sime Group, who will deliver the Resource Sorter course we developed to anyone, anywhere in New Zealand.
