Silverdale Shopping Centre

Silverdale Shopping Centre on Auckland’s Hibiscus Coast boasts The Warehouse and Countdown as anchor tenants, plus 34 smaller retail units, including food outlets, homeware, electronics, footwear and banking facilities. In all there is over 23,000m² of retail space and more than 800 parking spaces.

Following the initial project concept, individual zones were developed, leading to phased consents as each zone design was completed. The Naylor Love team worked closely with the consultants and client, providing innovative value engineering solutions that also considered time and quality requirements. We developed a flexible programme and logistics plan to meet the requirements of tenancies as they were let with minimum impact to cost, quality and programme.

Naylor Love’s BIM team modelled site establishment and site services before works commenced, and  generated 3D staging plans to communicate time frames and expected progress to the consultant team as planning progressed. We also confirmed buildability of the precast and post-tensioned slab, and coordinated the steel fabricators and installers.

Naylor Love’s involvement in the planning stages of this project allowed issues to be identified and resolved well before they became problems, ensuring a much smoother build process for everyone involved.
